Leadville sits at 10,152 feet and the ranch is right around there. Most people feel the thin air the first day - take it easy, drink plenty of water, and go easy on alcohol the first night. It passes quickly, and the views are worth it.
There are two seasons. Winter (about December into April) is snowmobiling on groomed trails and powder. Summer and fall (about May into October) is UTV and dirt-bike riding, with Mosquito Pass melting out for roughly July through September. Tell us what you want to ride and we'll match the dates.
Not for the trail snowmobile tour or the UTV tours - guides cover the machine and the route, and you can ride along with the guide. The off-trail snowmobile High Adventure and the dirt-bike rides are for riders with experience.

Leadville is about 25 minutes from Copper Mountain, an hour from Vail and Breckenridge, an hour and a half from Aspen in summer, and about two hours from Denver International.
